Annual Pennzoil rebate; expires 8-31-25

I just submitted mine today and didn't have any problems. Maybe clear your browser cache and try again (?) If that doesn't work maybe a call to the rebate center will help (?)

Thanks for head-up. I could messed up my in-coming mail box and set PENNZOIL site as spam. Switched to a different mail address, it worked.

Tried to file rebate online with the link, got following message, no matter how many times trying with correct email address, still show " not able to verify email address", see the attachment:

Try a private browser tab. That will be a fresh browser with no cookies, no cache, and usually most add ons disabled. If that doesn't work, try a different browser.

Did you receive a email that you had submitted a rebate or just when the rebate was approved?
Yes I received an email with a confirmation code. I also received an email that they received my CS request (I called them because I was worried that they would not give me the full $30). But that was a few weeks ago.

PUP was $29.44 at my local WM a few months ago while stock was low. Now the shelves are full and marked down to $26.49.

Have you found a convenient way to use the gift card? I’m struggling with vendors requiring a first and last name whereas the card was issued with a serial number for “name on card”. Thanks in advance

Does anyone have experience using Ultra Platinum?

Are there any characteristics it tends to have in use; even if anecdotal, in your usage?

Thinking of going for the $30 rebate. :)

Not trolling. 🤣

I realize it’s entirely subjective.

Honestly, I’m probably asking without need…my vehicle doesn’t really push oil to its limits.

$2.7 per quart for PUP is a good deal.
I feel like there are tons of threads on people's experience with it. It had a brief reign as flavor of the month for a bit. I don't think it as good as M1 ESP or Castrol Euro but for basically $14/jug, I bought two. I'm sure it'll do just fine for an OCI or two.

True, my vehicle doesn’t have any special requirements. I’m already bumped up a grade. And, I likely won’t extend the interval nearly as much as I’m willing to do on Amsoil SS. Price point is too good though.

I am unsure what use anecdotal information would have. Not dismissing it, but the anecdotal stuff is usually engine specific - ie this particular oil makes this particular engine more noisy.

PUP has a reasonable amount of GTL that many people like. If it meets spec and $14 for a 4 quart jug, whats not to like.

You’re right. I’m probably just overthinking it here combined with being lazy and not using Search function.

I don’t usually buy ahead and have R&P planned for the next year. I probably will get the PUP this time. The deal is too good.
