I noticed that a Walmart I was in has the 5 quart jugs of Pennzoil 5w20 (yellow bottle). I thought this was discontinued by Walmart.

Does your Home Depot still have any 5w20 Pennzoil left over from the closeout, maybe you can score a few quarts of 5w20.

I've not seen any of the 5qt PZ's around here. Our Home Depots have gotten out of the auto parts/pcmo business around here.

Funny you brought this up. Yesterday I read your post and though man I hope I don't have this problem as today was my wifes Fusion first oil change. Low and behold first Walmart no MC 5w20 or any for that matter. 2nd Walmart sweet 1 gallon but I need 1 more quart. I thought to myself there is alway somebody moving #@$%! around and mixing stuff up. I searched through all of the MC oil they had and the very last one in the very back JACK POT. I asked a sale associate to see when they would get more, he could get that info but looked up stock they showed 2 gallon which I had 1 and no other. He then checked werehouse stock and it showed 0 as well. He said who ever is making Fords oil is not getting it to them. I past by a Advance Auto none then past a Autozone and they had plenty of 12 pack cases of MC 5w20 so I picked up a case. Next paycheck I'm going MC 5w20 hunting at the 2nd Walmart and back to Autozone (Jugs would be cheaper).

AA had 5W30, 10W30 PP, but no 5W20 last night. Wound up buying the Q-Power 4x4 on the 2-4-1 deal. Same, same, but this was the first time I've seen that 5W20 was unavailable because of a sellout rather than the store simply not stocking it.

Mostly they carry 5w30 in all the stores. Usually, they have far more 10W40 than 5W20 for any given brand. I have no idea why..

Stocked up at Advance Autoparts when their Havoline was on sale for $1.55 per quart. I'm good until the end of next summer, maybe even fall.

As for the popularity of 10W-40? I just think of the popularity of reality TV.
