All oil used was Amsoil 10W30 except that the last year (and currently in crankcase) is 0W30. Pure One filters are used.
Current policy is one year on the oil with a filter at 6 months. Filter takes 22 ounces of oil and I add about 10 oucnes of oil for normal consumption.
this car is college student, mostly short trips, note fuel dilution. Went ot 0W30 to try to eliminate start up knock. Didn't solve problem.
