Amsoil vs everyone else

skyship, I would use LiquiMoly. Im going to use it because I Believe it is one of the Better motor oils in the World. You have easy access to it. I have a "little" AMSOIL, if your interested in trading.

I use Amsoil and have done so, on and off, for many years. I often read comments about the price "keeping me from buying Amsoil". I don't buy that.......stop going to Starbucks or eating lunch out for a week or two and you will have the money. That being said, Amsoil is like everything else....personal preference.

I run a 10K maximum OCI and I use Amsoil with an Amsoil filter in my 2 Nissans. I pay a price that is comparable to what Wally World offers but I feel I get better protection for my engine. Oil is cheap, engines are not. I have seen plenty of Dino engines over the 150K mark......my Ford Escape is an example of that. I bought it used with 157K on it and I doubt the previous owner ever put syn in it much less Amsoil. I am running Maxlife and a NAPA/Wix filter and I probably won't ever put Amsoil in it. The Maxlife works great.

My point is this.......read all that BITOG has to offer. Try several oils or just pick one and stick with it. Yes, I am an Amsoil fan. Yes, I think Amsoil offers better protection then other oils available. Yes, I spend more money then I probably should each year on oil but I have peace of mind. Yes, I am open to using other oils that I feel offer better protection/performance in certain circumstances.....my Escape with Maxlife is proof of that.

I've used Amsoil in the past and was very happy with it. I ran the XL 5W-30 in my Ascender for 12,000 miles and when drained the oil was still golden brown. Never seen that with any other oil even after 3K. After doing research and info from an Amsoil dealer for over 30 years their only true Group IV / Group V synthetic is the Signature Series. Their OE and XL is a Group III Hydrocracked oil. The XL in recent years just received an additive boost taking it from 7.5K to a 10K oil. IMO the Signature Series oil is the best oil you can get to date from any manufacturer. Amsoil is top notch in my book when I can get to the Orlando warehouse to pick it up. If they offered FREE shipping they would make much more money. Many stores who sell high quality oils offer FREE shipping. Check out Amazon FREE shipping and NO TAX on all oil shipped from Amazon.

What Amsoil product do you run in your vehicles?
