Which synthetic oil choice

I'm switching to synthetic after my supply of Castrol GTX is gone.My two oil choices are Castrol Syntec 5W-20 or Amsoil XLM 5W-20.My OCI will be 5000-7500 miles.My filters will be either Amsoil Eao/Mobil-1 or Wix.Which oil of the two would you stay with for the life of the vehicle.Thanks Joe

Both would work and both are very good. For availabilty, the Castrol would be my choice. I'd also consider MC and PP 5w-20.

How do you drive it?

5k oci? Pretty well any SM oil (on sale for $1 a quart at times..)

and any filter!

I think I would run Syntec, availability and price would be my reasons for it. Perfectly good oil.

7500 miles? XLM. Then you could go to 8000+ if necessary and not sweat it.

I'd run the Amsoil XLM...at the preferred customer price it will be less expensive than the Castrol.

For OCI's of 5k-7.5k miles, I'd use the less expensive WIX filters. If you decide to use the Amsoil EAO filters, I"d consider changing the filter every other time you change the oil - say 15k/1 yr on the filter changes.
