Except the viscosity demands of the same engine are not going to change regardless of where it is located on the planet.
In other words, if a 0W-20 is good enough for Death Valley in the summer States side, it's good enough for the Australian outback.
What's different is that the advantages of the more expensive 0W-20 oil have been largely mitigated to the point that a cheaper more readily available light 5w30 conventional oil will do the job.
That said, 20wt oils are beginning to be specified in OZ but it will probably a very long time before you'll see it third world Africa.
