An MRV of 60,000 and CCS of 6200 are the API limits for the 0W-30 classification. My guess is that when the manufacturers are reluctant to reveal their MRV and CCS numbers (especially in this group of products that is oriented at minimizing MRV and CCS), they probably just managed to squeeze in below the maximums. Mobil 1 EXP is an example of this behavior: they were advertising 6100 for CCS but are no longer advertising any number, possibly because their most recent formulation moved even closer to the maximum or they came to believe that squeezing in just below at the maximum at 6100 is not really a good selling point versus just making us guess.where did you come up with the, say guess on Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy?? 0w-30 & AMSOIL Signature Series mrv?? ,ccs and mrv are not always related to pour points., lower ccs and mrv in its perspective test temps, (lower is better) are what is only comparable to its intended low temp use. the new SQ,GF-7 oils can be different to the older SP, GF-6 specs.

add Valvoline and Mobil to the list also.Castrol has had a long history of publishing specification limits as their PDS values.
All of this goes to show how sketchy it is to rely on PDS “typical values” as a basis for fine-tuning oil selection, especially within a grade.
Send for analysis at 5k miles and then at 7.5k to get a trend. Also, consider sending in sample of the virgin oil that way you can see changes from unused and used oil, particularly the oxidation value. Something to consider.I switched to AMSOIL Signature Series 0w20 on the last oil change for our 2016 Outback w/58,500 miles. Planning on going 7,500 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first before sending oil for analysis. I'm running Valvoline Restore and Protect 0W30 in our 2003 Camry w/144k and 0/W20 in 2016 Forester w/115k miles. I plan on running the Valvoline Restore and Protect for 4 full 3-4k cycles in those cars before considering any change there.
