Amsoil Series 3K, WOW

IMHO - the color of oil in use is far more dependent on the engine than the oil; dark oil can be rather deceiving when using oil color to decide the actual chemical condition of the oil.

So then educate me then to me it seems common sense if anything getting past the rings and what not all that crap will get mixed in the oil so in turn will cause the oil to change color minus the heat and friction which also causes oil to change color.

TRDUSA2002, please calm down and let the topic go.
Come back with the UOA in hand.
Then we will discuss how the oil's performed in your truck.

I just asked a simple quesion so if someone can help me to understand then that would be great. I do plan on getting a used oil analysis but not till next fall. This spring ill be installing a futomo drain valve so i can take samples. I hate to waste $10 oil.

is there any comparsion between the amsoil series3k and the New Mobil 1 extended preformace ? I have really been wondering about this for some time. can anyone share some thoughts on this?
