Amsoil recommendation for SRT-4

Yeah, I have already planned on putting in the Amsoil transmission fluid in the car when I replace it. The guys over at srtforums really seem to like it.

I haven't met anyone yet that hasn't had a great experience with it. I have it my Santa Fe and it shifts like Butta!

Any issues with this fluid being too thick in the winter? It's specs are a bit heavier than the ATF+4 originally called for. My SRT-4 already seems pretty notchy when cold, although the RP Synchromax seemed to help that a good bit.

Of course the MTF isn't as thick as some of the stuff I've heard of people running in the T-850's. I read several times that Pettijohn has been running M1 75w-90 gear oil in his.

No isssue, I run it here in Maine. Has been down to -20F here.

I use it in the PT and my Shadow. Of course shifiting will require some more efforet but not out of the ordinary.

Just an update. After way too much reading on this website, I am going to try Redline 5w30 instead of the Amsoil. I am sure that both oils will work well, but it seems that the Redline is a better oil for a high temp turbo engine like in my SRT-4.

If it doesn't work well after a few changes, I will switch to the Amsoil.
