Once I get through my current oil stash, I’m planning on switching to Amsoil in all 3 of my vehicles. A big reason/hope is to extend all OCIs to OEM 7,500 miles from current 5,000 miles.

Will be using the Euro 5w-30 in my 3.0 duramax. Having a hard time deciding between this and 5w-30 SS for our 2019 Santa Fe with 2.4L GDI engine and Telluride with 3.8L GDI (no consumption on either, knock on wood).

Appreciate any feedback!

The 2021 Tellluride was offered with a 4 cylinder? I thought they all came with the 3.8L V6 until this past model year?

Nope, you’re right. Thanks for the catch, edited my post

I am a huge fan of the Amsoil Signature Series. I am eventually switching all of my vehicles over to it. However the Amsoil XL and Amsoil High Mileage would also both easily handle that type of OCI. The High Mileage doesn’t just have to be for high mileage vehicles, it has a nice robust viscosity which can be beneficial if you have any fuel dilution concerns.

What are we talking here....
7000 highway or 7000 short tripping
Very different......

Either way with a less than stellar engine, 2.4, id stock to a low OCI

On the Hyundai (my freshman in college daughter’s car) a lot of short tripping and idling I’d imagine. My wife’s Kia has a lot of short trips but 2-3 200 mile round trips a month.

My 3.0 duramax sees 60+ mile/day round trip 4 days a week, mostly state highway at 65-70 mph. Only real severe service would be during hunting season, but that’s only a few days a year (unfortunately)
