Just bought the Amsoil pump, its about $10 cheaper than Amazon. But they say to only use the tube once, what do the folks who use this type of sample for oil analysis? Will there be enough residue to affect the next sample?
We had really nice ones in the Army for many years. Came with a roll of disposable tubing; cut off a few feet; suck; squirt; throw-away...
I guess maybe a few pennies could be saved by cleaning the tubing, but what's the real return on investment and if were measuring [oil] for contamination down to two digit PPM why take the chance?
FWIW: Army stopped doing this ~4 years ago or so... Cost probably not worth it... they just change it on a schedule
