Amsoil has never that I know of listed suppliers by name and never were all the filters "re-branded Frams".

Maybe, but the link @Pablo linked was about the new Amsoil filters. Would have to compare the filters on that page with what the old Champ Labs Amsoil filters looked like.

Who's going to be first at getting one of these for a C&P ?

Spring choice varies based on filter design, it says. Could still have the leaf spring with the bypass built into the end cap, like that exploded view shows.

I should hope they know without public input but maybe it was more of a care than knowledge thing if you follow

Thought their reply back to you was something along the lines that they had never heard about the ruffled leaf springs and resulting internal leak gap before? If they never found out about it, then they wouldn't have a reason to rethink the design.

My hopes are they went to holes instead of louvers and a coil spring......glad to hear that Champion Labs has been resurrected.

@Pablo Dang it. Did you not say who is manufacturing the filters, or is it the whiskey again? The people around me keep telling me that it's over, and I need to go to an assisted living facility, so this is not going to go well for me if I missed something.

Here's snap-shot that shows how those exploded views looked like on 7/29/2025, little over a year ago.

In this figure, they showed the two different setups, instead of noting it. The Amsoil filters made by Champion Labs as you know had the Fram style leaf spring with the bypass valve in the leaf spring.

Thanks for posting this. I am optimistic if the retooling and production lives up to the amsoil namesake, I will be going back to being a preferred customer once again.
