This is a friends Sienna. It is in great shape and he plans on keeping a long time. The engine is really clean and is dry top to bottom along with the transmission. I have not seen one this clean and dry with this many miles on it. This is his 4th oil change running OEF and is usually in every 5k miles for an oil change but this one ran over since he took a trip up to Maine and we live in NC. Didn't use any oil, still full when he came in. I did treat the engine with ARX before he switched it over to AMSOIL. This oil change was run with a Mahle 1008 oil filter.

Code:
Universal averages show typical metals for the Toyota 3.0L engine after about 5,000 miles on the oil. This oil

was in place longer, yet metals are all still acceptably low compared to averages, showing no obvious problems in the

works. Some metals are a few ppm higher, but these variations are acceptable as not all engines wear like our

averages show. No contamination was found in the oil, though the TBN was pretty low at just 0.1. Typically anything

less than 1.0 is considered too low to suggest a longer oil run, but go ahead and stick with this interval for now.

Maybe TBN isn't as important as many believe it to be.

Love seeing a Toyota running that strong still. I wouldnt exceed 5500-6k miles if using the same oil/filter combo. Looks great though, hope my Corolla can last like that!!

Yeah I'm wondering the same thing. My uoa showed 2.9 TBN left at 7,200 and said my oil wouldn't make it 10k, but I think I am going to do 10k on my current run and test it

We don't plan on going past 5k intervals. He just went over because he went on vacation and forgot to get it changed before he left.

Because it is API approved, as is XL, and it gives them a three tier price point........good, better, best.

Right...and Amsoil does recommend a max of manufacturers recommended OCI with this oil.

What am I missing here? 6700 miles and a 0.1 TBN?? Holy depleted oil Batman! My 1999 Sienna eats oil for sure but nothing like that. I can go 7500 miles on regular M1 and still have a TBN around 3.

I like how Blackstone says the TBN was "pretty low". Sheesh I guess...

Please find this for me. It says follow your manual on the site, not pick the max and go with it...
