Thats the 2 options I have here where I live in Canada.

For all the much more educated participants here, what would be your go to oil between these two ?

I plan to follow CanAm schedule maint. interval 9300 miles or 1 year

I'm trusting more Sopus than Amsoil , but dont ask me why ... Its a gut feeling I guess

Price wise I dont care , Rotella will be around 20.00 less so over 1 years its negligeable

Then I won't bother you anymore and make my decision after reading you position

When I tried Rotella T6 5w40 in a shared-dump bike, it quickly sheared, and the shifting became very notchy. Others have expressed having the same experience.

Shear is shear, and all the downsides that go with it. 5w40 shears a good bit in about any scenario, don't know a way around it regardless of the brand. 10w40 in a good oil will not shear to where it compromises smoothness in shifting, from experience.
