Amsoil manual transmission fluid for Tacoma transfer case?

I know most people use ravenol or oem but since the amsoil manual transmission fluid is GL4 rated for the brass synchros would that work? Has anyone done this?

5w-30 synthetic oil in gm transfer cases!

I use Amsoil MTF (vis range same as 5W-30) in my 2019 Tacoma. Works better than stock and likely protects better as well - and in theme with other comments here. Don't need a 4 cSt fluid!

What year is your truck and what is the original fluid specification?

I run the Amsoil 5w30 Manual Synchromesh in my 5th gen 4Runner because of a suggestion by Pablo.
I like the viscosity. "Thicker" than a 75w and "thinner" than a 75w90.
Works great.

Got ya. I read the thread where you posted you used the synchromesh. So you dont recommend that over the manual 75w90 correct

Ahh ok. I have an automatic transmission and was just checking about transfer case for my trd off road. I’m swapping all diff fluids to 75w90 amsoil
