Any one have any info on Amsoils new Interceptor two stroke oil? Their web site says its specially formulated for use with power valves. I thought both of the injection oils could already be used with power valves.

Any one have any info on it yet.

Here some info from literture I just received.

From what I read about the oil, it looks like an oil made for snowmobiles. Maybe snowmobiles are harder on the oil. Who knows. Had good luck in my small engines using Amsoil 100:1 and mixing it with 5 gallons of gas per bottle instead of 6. I use the Seadoo brand oil in the new jet ski.

Looks like ams has came up with a product that will be a "real" iso egd, jaso fc oil instead of just claiming they meet specs. Ams two cycle oils in the past have really sucked IMO. Hopefuly this new product will change that.

I have had pretty good luck with amsoil in my snowmobile in the past, kept the valves pretty clean and is typically priced cheaper than the oem oils. It would have been nice if the above test was done on the arctic cat 700cc f7 motor as it produces 140h.p. and is very demanding on the oil, the 600cc engine they used in the test is only around 110h.p. I'm a big fan of the Klotz techiplate 2 stroke oil, just the smell alone is worth using it and will not be switching this season.

Now running Interceptor 50:1 in a trimmer and saw and it does make for easy starting and good power. No smoke except at startup. The cost is easy on the wallet . Ten dollars/qt. at a local MC shop.It is a thick gooey oil and I like that in this very hot weather we have in Maryland .
