Remember $4 four years ago is $9 now...Yes, except the new definition of "shining star" is quality that matched a $4, average filter 4 years ago.

You sound pretty sure that Amsoil is not listening. PM me your email and or phone number so they can contact you, and/or I can contact them for you. The more people bring something up, the more attention a company will give it.This may be true. When a product is substandard, and it is brought to the attention of the company without redress it speaks to a negative change in the corporate culture. When zero drive for improvement is there, trust is eroded. I no longer trust them given this.
Actions, meet consequence.
Thank you for that more than generous offer. I have emailed Amsoil directly over the past few months using their tech/CS line. They are always polite, just not seemingly "getting it." I have been as plain as I am here with my emails to them. Without knowing what "AF's" are, I cannot offer any response. You sound pretty sure that Amsoil is not listening. Amsoil is a bit boxed in here. And it's not like they are not contracting all their other filter products over the years. AF's are essentially gone.
AF = air filter, sorryThank you for that more than generous offer. I have emailed Amsoil directly over the past few months using their tech/CS line. I went from spending enough every year to not have to pay for the membership fee for the preferred customer to almost nothing given my experience with their filter quality falling. This last point again brings me no pleasure and is not boasting. It's a sad current state of affairs given current business/manufacturing choices they have made. I'm going with the only avenue a consumer has to drive change - moving purchases to another vendor/manufacturer. Again, I WANT Amsoil to succeed. This is why I have gone round and round with their email team.
$19.80How much do these cost nowadays?
The Toyota was $14.40. It will reach the second round of VRP before the Ford. I want to cut up both Toyota filters.$19.80
That thing better have a gold adbv$19.80
Well, anyway, I've got two filters to go on the car. Even with all the doom and gloom read here, I'm going to risk my engine and install AMSOIL filters. God help us.
I prefer to stay clear of FRAM products, just a personal preference. We dont have access to MicroGuard filters here on the East Coast, unless you go online to get some. Filters we don't have around here are also WIX XP.Doh!
The Fram Endurance 4967 installed last July is coming off the Highlander in about one month and I was going to use an EA15K09 that I purchased last December.
Maybe not.
Maybe a MicroGuard Select for my next 10k mile run with HPL, instead.
I’m tempted to ask a BITOGer to C&P both the used Endurance and a new EA15K09 so we can see if the Fram “ruffled” the HPL oil and whether the Amsoil filter is up to snuff.
Ha! I know, right!!That thing better have a gold adbv
I've never seen an O'Reilly Auto Parts in my life, anywhere. We basically have AutoZone, Advance Auto, and some NAPA stores. I get my oil on-line usually from WalMart. I order my filters online also.@RobbS I can get MicroGuard oil filters here in Florida at O’Reilly Auto Parts. Do they not carry those at the O’Reillys in Virginia?
Get the Carquest Premium at Advance Auto ... same as the MicroGard Select. It's MicroGard, not MicroGuard.I've never seen an O'Reilly Auto Parts in my life, anywhere. We basically have AutoZone, Advance Auto,
you do realize the Endurance is the same filter as the amsoil, right?I prefer to stay clear of FRAM products
And the Royal Purple.you do realize the Endurance is the same filter as the amsoil, right?
According to the O’Reilly website there are 104 of them in VA.I've never seen an O'Reilly Auto Parts in my life, anywhere. We basically have AutoZone, Advance Auto, and some NAPA stores. I get my oil on-line usually from WalMart. I order my filters online also.
OK, I can research MicroGard filters here within the forums. Thank you.Get the Carquest Premium at Advance Auto ... same as the MicroGard Select. It's MicroGard, not MicroGuard.
You said you don't have O'Reilly's, so I'm suggesting getting a Carquest Premiun from Advanced Auto Parts. No need to research it, it's a "forum approved filter", as is the MircroGard Select.OK, I can research MicroGard filters here within the forums. Thank you.
