Amsoil EAO 80 Cut Open (26500 miles)

Here's my Amsoil filter I cut open today. Filter was in great shape after 26500 miles on my 1993 Cummins running Rotella T 15W40. Here's some pictures and a video.:

I think you got your money's worth from thematic filter. What color was the media when it was new?

Looks full and maybe even beyond it's max efficiency. I would try 22k next time.

I did 26501 with a regular Fram oil filter.

It was in service 2.5 years, next cycle will be 30,000 miles. As it’s used with a bypass filter there should be no problem 30000 miles. Annual oil sampling to see how the oil is holding up.

Latest report on this oil with 57,543Kms. Since the last report I changed 2 MotorGuard rolls, one full flow filter and added a pint of Schaeffer Moly EP. Not sure why the raise in Aluminum, possibly the results of adding the Moly but will keep an eye on it.

Kinda looks like a Purolator Boss. The boss has similar spiral louvers, mesh backing, metal end caps.
