The only difference between this UOA and the previous 2 was the use of powerfoam and some mainentance at 60K. The previous 2 UOA's are on the same OCI.

I believe the fuel is from the powerfoam that still has not burned off after 2k miles. After I powerfoamed the engine is when I noticed changes to the oils condition. When I took the sample there was buildup on the oil cap and baffle just inside the valve cover. I'm having the timing belt changed today and I will be using amsoil engine flush and changing the oil.

Ox and Nit are both up and TBN is down considerably compared to the previous change at 10k miles.

Nice report, hard to quibble about that. I wish there were more Kia/Hyundai reports on this board. I'm on my 2nd Kia, a Rondo 2.4 I4.

I know what you mean, I have posted quite a few of them. I have a comparison UOA run of SPIII and Amsoil ATF both with 25k miles I need to post.

That would be interesting.

Really??? I am very interested in your ATF report.

I guess you are not worried about warranty compliance? My tranny is my biggest worry on the Rondo. My Spectra5 was a manual.

I did send in an oil UOA to Holt Cat but I haven't heard anything from them, I need to give them a call.

I'm not real worried about my warranty. I already have 66k miles since I bought the car new in 06, I only have powertrain left and would be paying overpriced labor for any repairs so I'll use whatever I want.

It would be more but I have a small fleet of vehicles.

SPIII UOA I had Terry interpret, that part is not posted.
