It looks like Amsoil will be coming out with two different, CJ-4 formulations this fall. One will be their licensed, PCO/15w-40 and the other may be a new formulation altogether. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new CJ-4 oil in an SAE 5w-40 grade. The basestock would look like their original 5w-40, European oil in terms of high/low temp viscometrics, but with reduced add levels to meet the chemical limits of CJ-4.
I believe they'll keep their 15w40/AME and Series 3000, 5w30 the same, for use in older engines.
