It's made for large trucks. I have asked for quarts, but I don't think it's a huge priority.

I must have missed the memo on not having left over oil...

None of my engines take 5 quarts so I guess I better stop buying 5 qt jugs of oil..

If you want to use the oil, the LAST thing I'd worry about is having a 4 quart container with oil left in it.

I agree, and I have been asking amsoil for a couple years to put fluted ends on their filters. The ACD fits a great category for motor oils, thin enough for most motors and thick enough for sae30 applicaitons and diesels.

I don't plan to ever run anything else in the TL so I have no problem buying two or three gallons at a time. It all works out in the end.

It's pretty much a matter of demand. The demand for qts of ACD just isn't there. Matter of fact, there isn't a high demand (at least in most places) for the ACD.
I carry none in stock, but can get it. To the best of my recall, I've sold one case of gallons in the past 3 years.
I will admit that is more than I have sold of the scooter oil!

And stocking stuff costs money.

Mixing them creates an unknown. Get enough ACD to fill the crankcase.

I concur - probably won't hurt...but...a real unknown.

I must be the king of ACD sales. I sell some every month. And it's gaining popularity. It's a really great oil.

Add oil?

I'll be testing out a 1.5-2 year OCI with 1 gallon of ASM and 1 quart of Series 3000. I have another quart of Series 3000 in the event that I need to top off the oil during that length of time.

There will be a UOA as well.
