Good Morning,
I thought I would post my UOA report for your review. I’m using Amsoil 0W-30 Series 2000. I’m using an Amsoil air filter. I have 82000 miles on the Accord. I’ve been using Series 2000 0W-30 type of oil since 43000 miles. I’m also using an Amsoil SDF-36 oil filter.

Thanks for you input.
I just switched to GC 0W-30, so I’ll see over time what works better.

That's a fine report. Hopefully the coper is just normal for this application. I'm guessing the GC won't do much better.

Patman,
I haven't done that many UOA's, the last one was at 43,000 miles when I switched from Mobil1 5W-30 Tri-Syn. The copper was 24 then, so it has come down using Amsoil. In fact all my numbers look better using Amsoil.
Thanks for the input.

I thought they were gonna cut back on the phosphorus a bit

Still not near the 800 mark.

Was this a 5w/20 engine at first? I was thinking I might switch mom's 01 civic from regular 5w/30 Amsoil to this type. It oppears to suit this application nicely.

I assume you are using the SDF 36 as it is larger then the SDF 20 recommended for the car??? If so realize that the SDF 20 is a 20 PSI whereas the SDF 36 is an 8 PSI pressure relief valve.
