America's Best Bang for the Buck?

Not sure, it's very similar to sonic blue.

I think we are talking about the same color. Looks better in person!

Please pardon the white stripes: Grabber Blue 2017 Mustang Shelby GT-350 Fastback

Don’t particularly care for the social overtones of muscle cars finished in ‘Viagra Blue’ myself .

Do you suppose the cramped cab on Camaros referenced above is the reason that they are the stereotypical car of choice for aggressive young women?

The horsepower wars make me chuckle. My 2007 Mustang with "only" 300 HP will absolutely fly - 0-60 in 5.2 seconds plus tons of torque anywhere on the tach. I understand the need for speed, but I think many people way overestimate the value of HP.

All of that said, I need to visit a few dealerships in town to drive a few of the latest muscle cars.

I agree, especially as there's a flip side to that coin. Cooling issues for the whole drivetrain if you actually use the power for longer than a few minutes. Which makes sense as the efficiency didn't go drastically up so 30% of the fuel needed for 500 HP going straigth into the cooling systems is a whole lot more than than 30% of the fuel needed for 300 HP. And then that 500 HP passes through a transmission and a rear diff aswell.

I wonder if they went this way because of Tesla? To not get embarrased too much?

Had a late model Camaro out of Springfield, MO Avis last year. Was a very nice car going down the interstate. It was tough to back up safely because of lack of visibility, and was tough getting in and out of.

An awesome car as long as one is going fast and straight. If one has to park it, or get in and out of it..... not so much.

Seems they would benefit from the digital camera rear view mirror (no blind spots) … but on most GM products that comes with the top of the line models …

I’ve never noticed that stereotype.

I love the LT1 camaro spec, so good, so cheap. The wonderful manual trans. The engine bay has space to see and work on things. I would not be surprised if i end up adding one to my fleet if things go well in the next year or three.

Nice to know. But the luck I’ve had with Chevy between owning them before and working on them you won’t ever see one in my driveway again lol.

I think I'd opt for the great automatic in this car, but the manual would be tempting. After driving manuals for 20 years and living in densely populated state, a good automatic is preferable.

I keep checking your signature for that Camaro 👀
