I have a AGM flat plate battery for my boat that was put in the boat in May or June. Fully charged before it was put in. It sat unused and uncharged until today in the boat.

It's 580 CCA.

My Ancel says it's 12.82 volts and is 98% charged and the current CCA is 900. Not sure about the 900 CCA.
I believe the 12.82 volts.

It's for the bow thruster that has yet to work.

I ran one in my 08’ Silverado and after 10 years it finally gave up. I didn’t replace that one with an AGM but when the batteries go in my Ram Cummins, that’s what will go back in it. I told the guy at the parts store that I wanted to warranty the battery. He said “well when did you buy it?” I said about ten years ago and we both had a good laugh.

It's a NAPA

I have an AGM/Gel hybrid battery in my motorcycle. It's coming up for 11 years old now but when it was new it did have a rested voltage of 12.8 volts. That's fallen a tenth or two over the years but it still holds near full charge for months. Being an old bike it has zero quiescent current draw and I presume the OP's boat must be the same.

This battery was dedicated to the bow thruster and had one of the battery cables disconnected.

I’m running a Duracell AGM in my 4 wheeler and it’s in its 3rd year. I was having to replace the Honda batteries every or every other year with it being ran regularly. I’ll have to check the voltage and see what it reads.

My BatteryMinder uses the same option for flooded and flat plate AGM. It has another option for spiral wound AGM and another for GEL.
Yes, Battery Minder recommends to only use the AGM setting or dedicated AGM charger/minders on spiral wound AGMs, and other "high performance AGM batteries."

Actual statements on their website: "BatteryMINDer® Model 2012-AGM is precision set for Specialty AGM batteries including but not limited to: Optima and Odyssey. Not for use with non-AGM batteries."

For their model 128CEC2 with selectable setting: "Use the Odyssey selection on all named Odyssey batteries at the 8 Amp setting"
They state to use the "wet" or flooded setting with standard AGM batteries.

I have been running a 2012AGM on a standard Interstate plate type AGM for 2.5 years without issue. I have a 128CEC2 charging both plate type AGMs from Varta at the same time in my BMW using their multi-battery Y adapter...but keep it on the recommended wet setting.

I have a 128CEC2 set on wet/flooded for my standard (flat plate) AGM...I have two regular 2012 and those are on the 2 flooded batteries.

I will probably replace any flooded with AGM as the flooded need replacement.

Think those are made by East Penn. Always had good luck with them.
So are people on the East Coast just lucky that East Penn is in PA (I think)? So they supply a lot of private brand labels like Walmart and NAPA and West Marine?

Who manufactures the Walmart and NAPA and West Marine batteries on the West Coast? No West Penn?
