No maybe's about it. Ive never had a "parts store" reman part last nearly as long as a original OEM one. There is a auto electric place here that can get me brushes, diodes, etc at a real fair price. I just repaired my DENSO alt out of my D150 for under $20. 2 contacts and a plunger. Reman one from the parts store is near $100.

Update: 8 Months later, 7,500 miles later, the replacement for the replacement alternator [censored] out. I truly am feeling like the lifetime warranty means a lifetime of replaing the darn things... Last time it was winter outside, this time, just got the drveway replaced with concrete so I'm out of the garage for repairs for now. Good times again...

So much for spending a bit extra at NAPA for the Reman unit that I thought I could trust. (Never had a problem with one before in two different vehicles with a ton of miles on them). I did tell the manager at the Napa that if this one fails, I will be asking for my money back.
