NOCO Battery Tender Over-Voltage Error

I have a Costco battery that's about 5 months old, and I am getting ready for some extended travel. I want to leave the battery on a tender using the NOCO Genius 5, but I am getting an over voltage error on a regular lead battery in my Tacoma. It is not a lithium or AGM battery. Just a standard Interstate lead/acid battery.

My head unit is wired in to the tire pressure and voltage, and it tells me the voltage is about 12.2. I turned the headlights on for about 20 minutes and got the voltage down to about 11.9

Any idea what could be the problem? When I first bought the NOCO a couple of months ago it worked ok on the same battery.. Not sure what changed

Edit - apparently if I leave it on long enough it will eventually go to green. The error code is just transient.

I experienced overvoltage with that NOCO. It showed about 16 vdc. Contacted NOCO tech support. They said that's normal. No way. Got a new one under warranty. No more overvoltage
