Yes, diameter of 215/50-17 is about 3.5% larger than 215/45-17. 225/45-17 is about 1.5% larger than 215/45-17.

Stick with OEM size, and recommended PSI. There's lots of decent AS choices to chose from.

I'd stick with stock unless the factory size is very weird and limits your options.

I have a set (4) of 205/60/16 off of a 2007 SX4 Suzuki, we have been looking to find a vehicle to use them on, (But 16in seems to be a tough go) we now have a 2002 Impala with 16in tires this car has 225/60/16 and on the SX4 205/60/16 is there some one here that could check this out if it will/would work OK ???

Diameter of 205/60/16 is about 3.5% smaller than 225/60/16, also tire width is 20mm smaller and gross vehicle weight is substantial less. 205/60/16 is too small for Impala.
