Alexa Diagnostics

We might not have the option to avoid AI usage soon, at least from the biggest search engine.

Google is currently testing out a change to completely remove the search button from their search page for users who are signed out. The only option displayed will be to use their AI search and a few other AI actions:

Google is reportedly testing a homepage variant for signed-out users that swaps the familiar "Google Search" button for three AI-powered shortcuts: Create images, Ask about files, and Brainstorm.

AI Mode now sits embedded inside the search field itself. The test has appeared across Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Perplexity's Comet browser, which suggests a server-side change rather than a browser-specific quirk.

This might finally get me to fully switch to DuckDuckGo if this becomes a permanent change. ☹️

AI is not really Ai and it will self admit that. It does understand or rather search a vast data base for information. But since ALL INFORMATION by us humans is flawed. You will never be able to fully trust it.

I asked it a question and got it right the first time, and totally messed up the 2nd time. (chatgpt) it is very flawed.

So fun to battle with it and in the end it fully admits its many mistakes it made.

Whats fun, is when I make an educated engineering guess and it says I'm correct. Yes! It can be great entertainment.

Best of all it is great search engine.

You have to know its limitations.
