Air Conditioner Auto Dry is currently on, 2025 Genesis

GM has had this for 25 years but needs enabled by Tech 2 or similar scan tool.
Make that 30 years. From my '95 Seville's FSM:

After parking from a trip with the A/C on, there may be some water remaining in the evaporator area. This feature waits for things to warm up then flows ambient air through it to dry it out and prevent mold. It's a practical feature.

The old advice was to turn the compressor off but leave the fan on for a few minutes before you arrive to let it warm up and dry out. Who is actually going to do that though?
Ah yes, the old heady days of sucking lysol or other chemicals through the windshield cowl air to try to de-mustify the stinky HVAC.

Fond memories of my 1997 Maxima and how it fared in Georgia.

And yet, all that's needed is just to cut the AC the last couple of miles of the trip which 99% of the time is enough to dry everything by the time we park and cut the engine.

For the past 35 years I've been turning off the compressor and running the blower for the last minute or so of my trip and have had no problems with mildew and odor. In coastal GA it was more an issue, but here in AZ not so much. Even so, if the cabin feels humid I open the vent for more dry outside air over the evaporator core.

In Texas, this practice would just make me suffer needlessly.
I have successfully used the foaming stuff to get rid of the funky smells when I start noticing them. I did my minivan roughly two years ago and it's fine so far.

If it's warmer in Texas - you can cut the AC closer to your destination. Less than a minute before destination is enough.
