I've been keeping my eye out for a replacement for my C230, in case the transmission issues get too big and unmanageable. One of the cars I've driven, and like the look and feel of, is the Buick LaCrosse, the midsize Buick that replaced the Century or LeSabre.
The only thing I dislike is that the interiors are a little dull. There's (fake) wood, but not very much; the car feels a little downscale, esp. with the dull black plastic around the stereo and A/C in the center stack.
However, a Google search found various companies that sell wood dash kits for the LaCrosse -- including stuff to surround the stereo and A/C, the door handles, the A/C vents, entire kits for $150 or so.
Anybody ever used these? Do they just stick on, overlay, the surfaces that are already in place? If so, do they look good? And do they last?
