Advice needed 5W30 engine oil

Hello,

I bought a Volvo V40, it's and European car with originally 5W30 oil, but the other owner putted 5W30 in it.

What kind of 5W30 can I add? The other owner is not responding. 5W30, C3 of ACEA spec? Thanks!

It's the 2.0 D4 - 5cyl didesel

Do you not have access to your owners manual or Volvo's website? I'm thinking Castrol Edge Professional V 0W-20

Acea C3 is the right oil for a modern turbo diesel passenger car.

Any diesel oil will be fine. If you're in the US I'd use pennzoil platinum euro L 5w-30.,It's c3 rated. But are you in Europe or no?
