Often times when I want to print an email or other page, an advertisement cuts off what I am trying to print. I have been unable to fix this problem. Suggestions? Thank you Ed Hayes

Are you using an AdBlocker plugin with your browser? If not, you should.
I like the snipping tool in Windows 7. It's probably in Win 8, too. You can use it to crop anything on your screen and then paste it into documents or emails.
It helps saves you a lot of ink if you're printing because those ads generally reside in fully colored boxes that are often nothing more than wastes of printing supplies.

I'm guessing a cut-and-paste of the URL into www.printfriendly.com may solve your issue.

I tried the Highlight and print selection and that didn't work.
Problem solved. Highlighted the part I wanted and copied to Word and printed. Yaa

That's slick! Thanks for posting this. Sometimes I'm able to C&P, but other times it's harder to separate out the text. I even tried to open the page in it's own window and edit out the junk, ads, links, etc. Not always successful.
