Often times when I want to print an email or other page, an advertisement cuts off what I am trying to print. I have been unable to fix this problem. Suggestions? Thank you Ed Hayes

Highlight the section you want to print and right click and do print selection.

I like the snipping tool in Windows 7. It's probably in Win 8, too. You can use it to crop anything on your screen and then paste it into documents or emails.

It helps saves you a lot of ink if you're printing because those ads generally reside in fully colored boxes that are often nothing more than wastes of printing supplies.

I'm guessing a cut-and-paste of the URL into www.printfriendly.com may solve your issue.

Not an ad-pruner, but a place to go when a webpage is created (typically with wordpress) that normal printing of it is impossible.

Sometimes I just copy/paste the text I want into Word and print. If you don't need all the color and graphics it's just a waste of expensive ink.

That's slick! Thanks for posting this. Sometimes I'm able to C&P, but other times it's harder to separate out the text. I even tried to open the page in it's own window and edit out the junk, ads, links, etc. Not always successful.
