Advance Auto Parts battery

I know the 'house brand' is Autocraft but I'am wondering who makes them. I'am stuck with a dead battery and my only real choice at this time is AAP.

Looking for the best advice on which battery Advance offers.

I believe Johnson Controls makes them. I have one in my car for the past four years and it is doing fine. Costco and Walmart come in cheaper, but if you don't really have a choice, AAP is fine.

Johnson makes them. In regards to the best choice: stay away from the bottom. Compare the Silver and Titanium. Many times in my applications, I have found the Silver (mid grade battery) to be the better value. I have a Silver in one of my cars (since March 2006) and have never had any problems.

They're Johnson Controls. I just put an Autocraft Gold in Mom's Jeep. It was only $10 more than the Silver, had the better warranty, and it was heavier than the Silver, meaning it had more lead in there.

You don't replace car batteries every week, so it really does pay to obtain the best grade that you can.
I also believe in getting the biggest battery that will fit, as this can often be done.

Hello, I've had nothing but good service from Johnson Controls batteries. I go out of my way to buy them. In my neck of the woods AutoZone carries JC batteries under their "Duralast" name. There is absolutely no scientific evidence behind my preferrence. Kira

Slight problem with Honda S2000, its BCI group size is a very small 51 and there is no room in the battery area to put any other battery in.

I have had an AutoCraft Silver in my truck going on 3 years now, no problems at all with it. That is saying something too, since the heat here in Florida is murder on batteries. Most of the factory batteries here last 2 years if you are lucky. Johnson Controls makes the AutoCraft batteries.

Yes, they're made by Johnson Controls. The Titanium/Gold batteries tend to do very well and a 4 to 5 year service life is the norm for them. The Silver can and will last just as long, though more common is a 3 year lifespan. Don't bother with the Economy's, they're built to a price point and it shows.

I'm surprised that the S2000 would use the same size battery as the older generation Civic.
