Unfortunately I am not, I got it from a family friend who had it since 97. To my dismay I only have service records for the last 5k miles over 5 years.

+1 on this. I would try a fram utlra for your filter as well. You should try to open the front valve cover to see the condition inside and determine of its badly sludged or has heavy varnish.

Old Honda Legend spec’d for 5W30. You’re in Seattle’s rain forest. 75K miles. I’d go a Castrol Magnatec 5W30 due to price. Honda filter or a M1 filter.

I think I will go with Mobil 1 5w-30 at 5k miles to start. The conditions will be fairly irregular, some short trips and some longer commutes. Is WIX filter good for Acura/Honda applications?

Yes, Wix will be fine. In fact, even the cheapest filters will do 5k with no problems smile

It says 5W-30 on his oil cap.

Surely, you jest. There is no need for that on this engine.

Jealous here. Hang on to it. That's a fine, beautiful car (especially the 2nd gen coupe), made before Acura totally lost their way.
