A couple pics here. More to come. What mods are here. How do I tell whats from GM and whats been changed. It is the actual winston cup pace car. I am trying to figure out if whats been done is safe and whats actually done here?

That's about the nicest Thorley air box I've seen. I wonder if it has other Thorley bits on it, such as a downpipe. Based on the stock exhaust manifolds and cowbell exhaust tips, I bet not.

Those amber warning lights sure aren't GM-issue. Neither are what appear to be very lightly tinted taillights.

At the least, it looks to be a very clean 97-03 GPGT. Those are rare as hen's teeth these days, so hold onto it!

ok 15k miles so it's like new car. I hate to do it. This is going to become my beater, work. daily driver, econobox.

Yep.

This is a hit or miss car. I personally would like it for a weekend car and take it to car shows. Looks like a car that was run at Martinsville in 2002 but why would they run a year old model?
Remember that someone got tired of looking at it in their driveway.
Nice collectible car -should always be a niche market out there. You have to decide it you want to spend that much for a DD.

I don't think anything is special except for all the vinyl, and the aftermarket intake. There's no telling what the previous owner added. Looks like a very clean car if you got a good deal.

That pulley on the M90 does not look OEM. Most beginners drop to a 3.4 and that one looks small. I would be scanning it for KR to see if that pulley is safe.

I hope with the intake and pulley it also got a good custom tune. Those L67 3800's were notoriously fickle, and what worked for one motor wouldn't work identically on another. I heard stories of bone-stock GPGT's having 0* KR from the factory, and others having 5-6* KR. Another L36 3800 ran deep into the 14's basically bone stock when most L36 powered cars were 16 second cars. That car was a factory freak.

That's a GTP. I wouldn't sell it at all - it should be a very reliable car for you; assuming it wasn't beat to complete death. I would paint it and get rid of the lights and stuff, but hey - that's just me.

I agree that the intake is obviously not stock, and the pulley doesn't look so either. Without good exhaust/intercooling/tuning mods, it's easy to go overboard on the boost.

Funny sciphi mentioning the L36's. When I was running a 5 speed SHO around.. it was a dead ringer for the stock GTP's. But one day I ran across a pretty much stock L36 GT that was just as fast. How? I don't know. But it must have been another factory freak.
