Does anyone know where specs are for the bypass valve opening pressures for various oil filters?
Especially, AC Delco PF64?

I have seen some information that the PF64 bypass pressure has been increased to 22 PSI, while the WIX equivalent (57060) still has a bypass pressure of 12 PSI. The increase in pressure is supposed to be because GM engines now have a variable volume oil pump and the higher pressure is to keep more unfiltered oil from being dumped in the engine...

Maybe AC Delco filters are pretty restrictive so they bumped up the bypass setting for that application. The less flow restrictive a filter is, the lower the bypass valve setting can be.
