What about the AC Delco Duraguard? is that an ecore or classic?

I don't buy the Wix filters anymore because whenever I've cut them open, the filter element always feels brittle and crumbles apart - like its been toasted. There's probably no harm in that, however, it just bugs me.

I believe that Duraguard is the e-core. For the PF47 anyway, PF47 is the Classic, PF47E is the Duraguard. Don't know if they have done this for all of them.

GM dealer parts guy tried to tell me they are the same filter....

Just saying that I'll keep using Purolators since they seem to have a better efficiency over a comparable wix.

I'm sorry, I should have clarified my question a bit. Are you referring to the Pure 1 or the Classic design?

in the case of the 51515 vs the L30001 in filtration efficiency, I'd even take a classic (personally I use PureOne)!

I see. I didn't realize that even the classic was more efficient than the Wix.
