In response to the constant negative LEO posts we see on this forum, I thought this was a good perspective from the other side.

The citizen has the LEO behind him.

Interesting perspective.

I'd never treat someone like [censored], but expect the opposite.

The vast majority LEO are great servers(may be more than 99.9%), but a very small percentage LEO think that they have the gun, the power to order anyone to do whatever they like(abuse of power), and this is the problem.

If you go to some LEO websites you can see that few of them bragged about the power they have and clearly they abuse the power they have everyday.

Nice. One of my closest friends is a cop there. Small world.

That's funny.

There are bad guys who don't have badges in life, and there are bad guys who do have badges in life. What's the surprise?

What you people need to remember is if you are a good guy, or a bad guy.
It doesn't matter if you have a badge and a gun or not, just if you're a good guy, or a bad guy.

If you're a good guy, chances are low you're going to run into a bad cop.

BC.

I the only time the cop has behaved this way was when there were 0 witnesses, and lied on the police report resulting in the citation being dropped. According to a newspaper article he was an applauded detective.

Either way, both situations are not acceptable. Hate [censored], uniform or not.

Hands up...don't shoot!
I have never had any trouble with law enforcement officers.

Could it be random dumb luck or pure coincidence owing to not violating our laws?
Perhaps I'm just being 'profiled.'

There is a class of people here in the North East who are professional victims. Nothing is their fault, and they are the first to mouth off about it. I spent 15 years as a night court judge, and time after time these beauties TALKED themselves out of a break that I, AND the shift commanders were willing to give them. Why mouth off at a judge who s letting you go on PR? It never bothered me to change my mind and set $500 cash instead.

Perhaps we are in an area with much less crimes than others, also the LEO's here behave at much higher standard and don't abuse their powers as much elsewhere.

As I post above, the vast majority LEO's are very good servers, since we don't like to get into trouble and follow their orders accordingly we don't have problems with them and they don't cause problems to us.
