A rogue tire smashes a Rogue

Theres a yt video of a smaller tire crossing the divider like that and ending up between the front bottom of a vehicle and the road. It launched the vehiclr way up into the air.

A lady in my neighborhood was killed this way just a few years ago on the freeway just down the road. A tire off a semi from the other side of the freeway.

I recall a rear wheel and tire coming off Antron Browns TF/D at Firebird Raceway back in 2010. It bounced off the side of his car, and came down in a spectator area, hitting and killing a woman.

I'm a semi mechanic at UPS. Being that New England Motor Freight folded years ago, I'm thinking that trailer is old and has Budd/stud pilot wheels, not modern hub pilot wheels. If you look at the video close, it appears the left front outer is missing on the NEMF trailer. I assume the tandem's aren't slid all the way rearward.

You gotta know what the heck you're doing working on Budd/stud pilot crap and rust has no business being present on anything. You have a stud on top of a stud with a nut and reverse threads the drivers side to be aware of.

In addition to the mechanic screwing up, I question the pre-trip inspection the driver is required to perform.
