Glad to hear no one was hurt -
Reminds me of the time a few years back when I hit a deer with a truck I had at the time. I had even installed deer whistles on the bumper because every night when I came home, deer would be standing right next to the road.
So there I am, trucking down the highway after midnight when suddenly a deer is standing right in front of me. I swerved and kinda side swipped him so that he rolled down the side of the truck. I had the drivers side window down and his head actually came into the cab for a few seconds. The look in his eyes reminded me of a group of orphan children with their faces pressed against the toy shop window at Christmas time.
I was sure he was dead and turned around to see if he was laying in the middle of the road. Slowly I drove back up the road with my high beams on. Sure enough, there he was, standing on the side of the road, the deer whistle in his mouth. He looked at me and said: "I need some 'Me' time right now." I drove away confused.
