So, after 3 years at my work; my deadwood boss finally got the axe. Thank God. Being undermanned mechanic wise, doing tons of Chrysler 200 recalls and thermostat recalls and total b.s. I got a nice $1.25 raise finally. Things finally looking up. Add to that my Focus and Jeep are doing well. Sorry for the rant but dealing with total morons that are paid $12/hour and do half arsed work and saying "it's not my job" don't cut it. About 30 of these scum of the earth were terminated as well. Happy Friday and hope everyone has a great weekend

P.s. I highly recommend not
Buying a Chrysler 200 or Fiat of any kind unless you want headaches. Ask me how I know

My wife bought 2 2012 Fiat 500's.
The first one was a Sport, and the second is an Abarth.

No problems at all with the Sport for the 9 months she owned it, and the Abarth has had one tire pressure sensor go bad.

So, I'm guessing things aren't as bad as you are portraying, or things at the factories have gotten worse for quality control since 2012.

BC.

Yeah, things definitely took a deep 6 starting in 2014. Glad to hear you had a better experience sir. I see like close to 200 vehicles a day and Daimler-Chrysler make up a good percent of them

Major slippage from the K car/Omni days.I worked in a dealership back then, and most work was either clutch replacements or rough idling, and the failures (premature) of those LeBaron/Daytona digital dash clusters.

Glad they kept one of the good ones!

Does anyone buy an Italian car for it's reliability, or did I miss something ? They do make great looking cars ...

I'm glad you are finally rid of the dead wood around you. Take advantage of it and make sure more isn't hired.

Why would your wife buy 2 Fiat 500's?

My mom had the "Omni Miser" with 1.7 VW engine and 50-ish HP. Was on its third clutch at 82k miles when we traded it on a Mazda 323. I don't know how it had enough power to wear them out... Oh, and door handles. Lots of those.

the Abarth has 59 more hp. OP probably meant he sold the first one. It is high on my list in another 5 years to pick up an abused one.

Your boss gets paid $12 per hour??

You pay peanuts and you get monkeys working for you.

What's minimum wage?

My boss WAS salary. Now, me and another mechanic are the boss. Drivers or shutters were paid the money I stayed bible which is well above min wage

I'm very glad for you there man !!
You could wrench on my car anytime
