A customers Mobil Super Rant

Apparently Walmart really needs to bring back Mobil Super. Today I had a guy want me to change the oil in his 2014 Toyota Tacoma with Mobil Super 5w-30. I asked him why he wouldn't use synthetic in it. He then gives me this stern look and said its fake oil and it goes past the rings. Ok then...I then told him Walmart no longer carries it. He then says "I'll go get it my [removed] self".

So he then walks out to the oil selection. After a few minutes of waiting I then walk out there to talk to him. I asked him "have you found it yet"? He looks at me and go's full ballistic.

"WHY THE DOES WALMART ALWAYS [removed] ME?!?!? I JUST CHANGED THE OIL 3K MILES AGO IN FEBRUARY, AND NOW ITS GONE! YOU GO TELL YOUR [removed] BOSS HE [removed] UP. So I tell him "its not my decision, nor my bosses. Someone in Bentonville AR decides that". He then goes back to his rant while walking off. "WALMART ALWAYS [removed] OVER THE SMALL GUY". At this point everyone is staring at this guy go off, I'm trying not to laugh to hard.

He then walks back into the automotive department to leave. Me following right behind him. He goes up to the door to leave and kicks it as hard as he can. The door is locked and won't open unless some one is pushing the button. He then screams "LET ME OUT OF THIS CAGE". I unlock the door, right as he opens the door I shout "THANKS FOR BEING A VALUED CUSTOMER AND THANKS FOR SHOPPING AT WALMART". He stops for a second and it looks like is about to have a full on panic attack. But then he just on keeps on going.

If you want Mobil Super that isn't the way to get it.

This doesn't happen much, but unfortunately it does happen. This time I just couldn't believe how funny it was.

I shop at Walmart a lot. I know their security so far as people entering the store. I'm glad for you he didn't bring back a gun.

OP, why didn't you ask if he was a board member here, and if not, invite him to join? Monomania is not a contraindication to board membership here, some call it "fanboyism" and revel in it themselves but belittle others for such behavior if it doesn't match their selection to "fanboy" about.

Well looks like you really [removed] OVER THE SMALL GUY. This reminds of the show Hard Core Pawn. Pretty much every episode they'd have some crazy person get thrown out of the store. I always kinda thought it was fake and I think a few of them were. But I actually did see someone cut in line once in a busy store and the store staff actually did throw them out, but they didn't do anything crazy like pick them up and carry them to the door, just kinda got in their face and escorted them out the door.

There is probably a reason they don't stock it, since it isn't really a popular seller.

Around here Pennzoil conventional and SuperTech flies off the shelf. Valvoline and Mobil 1 are the next most popular brands. There have been times where I go to WalMart and can't find enough of the Pennzoil conventional on the shelf to do a full change.
