Wow, read all the comments on this post. I have an identical problem to OP. 2017 Honda Accord 2.4L. Just under 70k miles and had the error pop up 8 months ago (November ‘23). Got it checked out right away… Shop came back with same error code P0741. Honda dealership after I called to discuss code basically told me to keep driving till a check engine light comes on.
Well no change in warning lights. I’ve noticed RPM’s are a little higher than normal. But I’ve driven it for 8 months with no additional problems. Knowing the long and treacherous journey the OP went through… What’s the verdict? Drive it until something bad happens (if it ever does), or cough up 6k for a new transmission? Either way “something bad happening” would only result in damage to the transmission right?
