99 Toyota Corolla Code P0446 After Sitting 1 Year

99 corolla was sitting in a garage for about a year and when my cousin started it up there was a check engine light with a code PO446 which was not there before he said.
They just can't find the problem any one have an idea? This car is 240 miles away from my shop in upstate NY.
My cousin is pretty good with cars but not a pro

I wouldnt worry about it. Get fresh gas in.. drive it for a few weeks after resetting the code.. see if it reappears.

thats more of an em missions type code so its not going to mean your engine will blow up.

purge valve might be sticking or died while it was sitting

I'm not familiar with that system on that vehicle.

Good advice^.
Drive it a few tanks with fresh fuel. Reset the computer and drive it some more.
Then, see what's up.
