Just wondering, why did you not change the oil pump if you tore the engine down for a rebuild?


It didn't seem to have any issues and there is no regular replacement cycle like the water pump. Its also a simple replacement with the engine still in. Plus any issues with it will be apparent before a catastrophic failure.

Darn near everything else is brand new

I did clean it up but it was hardly varnished from oil anyway.

As is Pennzoil Ultra, Pennzoil Platinum and Quaker State Ultimate Durability too.
