Hey Guys...

I've got a '98 Ram 1500 with the magnum 5.9.. I just did a plenum fix on it. While doing that, I also changed out the spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap and rotor.

Now it won't start... thought maybe a battery issue... but I charged it over night but when I try to start it kind of like pops... nothing happens... and all the lights go out. Hoping someone here might have some insight on it...

Any ideas?

does it turn over?

if so its not a battery.

what exactly does it do when it does not start.

Sounds like a bad connection from battery or at starter.

Second bad cable connection. Had the same problem, luckily I had pulled a spare positive cable from another Ram 1500 at a salvage yard visit. Replaced and it started right up.

Would the cable go out all of a sudden?

I pulled the battery from my car, and everything happened the same... except there was a buzzing after the power went out... lasted a couple seconds afterwards

It's a Dodge, Does it have a ballast resistor? If it does replace it and carry a spare at all times. On second thought I don't think they use those anymore. Check all battery cable connections.
