970 miles in 3 months, change oil?

Hey all! Got a 95 plymouth neon here, atx. I do a fair amount of stop n go driving, and some highway, msotly stop n go, every day, 8 miles one way, 8 miles back, plus 7 minutes start up idleing... did my math, and found i drivne about 970 miles in 3 months.... shold i change the oil and filter? Or can i still go 6 months? My car is also parked outside(no garage) so is exposed to the elements, 22 to 34 degrees in winter, 98+ in summer.
Would their be alo of blow by and contaminants built up?

Forgot to add...im currently running citgo 5w30 conventional.
Last i looked at it, via the dipstick, it was looking rather dark and used... meaning, kinda like mollasis.
