My buddy has a 97 Wrangler that has a cold start issue. It cranks right up, but will stall out if you don't give it some RPMs for about a minute. He will have to hold it at 2000 rpm until it warms up a little (1 min) and then it will idle fine. What could this be? Thanks !

Take a look at battery terminals, battery and charging system. If the battery is bad and draws down too much after the start ... they won't idle.

Weak battery (Chryslers forget adaptives pretty easily) or dirty throttle body. Throttle body could be dirty where the butterfly is or where the IAC lives.

Tire pressure?

Sorry, I love these threads where every answer is always something different, chasing 12 different systems to find a problem with the cold start circuit..lol..Just had to add my smart alleck $.02
