I just got a one owner 96 Subaru Legacy L 2.2 AWD automatic. I got it from a tenant, i know she took it to the dealer every year. Its rust, dent and scratch free.
It has 86K on in now and they just did the belts and timing belt w/water pump.
My scan tool will not do ABS on this year and the ABS light on.
Fuses and relays are good. Anyone have any idea how to get a code from the system using the under dash connectors?
Exhaust was new OEM Subaru stainless last year and it looks good underneath, no rust anywhere, are there any known problem areas with these cars that i should pay special attention to?
The car will be a Winter only car, any oil recommendations?
I will do new brakes and fluids, plugs, filters and so on. Anything special in this area i need to be aware of?
This Subaru is whole new experience for me i never even saw one under the hood before this one.
Edit: i notice some levelers on the headlights, are these set to 0 when the car is loaded normally?
