'93 Miata Detail

Rain-x Wash and Wax.
Acrylic wool wash mitt.
The Absorber Synthetic Drying Chamois.

Products used, Wax:

Klasse AIO

followed 48 hrs later by:

Collinite 845

Applied with:

Porter Cable 7424, speed 4

using:

Lake Country 5-1/2 White (AIO)
Lake Country 5-1/2 Blue (845)

Buffed by hand using Detailing Solutions microfiber cloths. Tires, rims, top and interior treated with 303 Aerospace protectant. Newspaper and Stoner's Invisible Glass for windshield and windows.

Nice to see that rear plastic window in good shape. A lot of those things yellowed and cracked over time.

I think the po had it replaced before I bought it 6 years ago but it sustained a tear shortly thereafter, which you don't see in the pics and which is covered by tape, from some neighborhood kids playing football.

Thanks! A lot of credit goes to the previous owners, a VT couple, who had it stored in the Winters and did not take it out in the rain.

It came with almost all documentation of services rendered when I purchased it with 95k on the clock. They took good care of it.

Not any time soon, I think. ;-)

I had the original exhaust replaced with a stainless steel catback a few weeks ago because the muffler was giving up the ghost. They engineered the snot out of this thing. The mechanic said the ball joints and steering linkages were still tight.

Looks great! Why is the panel which has name emblems not polished? The trunk above and the bumper below is nicely shined but this portion is dull.

Very astute eye. That area is plastic, and does not take wax, polish, or cleaner like the bumper, which is also plastic but painted differently. Trust me, I've tried.
